One and a half years later, I've finally finished The Hero of Ages, the last of the Mistborn trilogy.
Conclusion? Almost perfect. The last few chapters were tearjerkers, but satisfying at the time. I love the way Mr. Sanderson explained the purpose of religion and spirituality in his universe. He did so in a way that the reader could easily draw parallels for this reality. He is an excellent choice to fill Robert Jordan's shoes. I wish he had fleshed it out a little more, but nearly all the loose ends were tied up neatly. Might not be the best series for militant atheists.
Anyway, if you like your fantasy bloody and dark, but with a meaningful, uplifting finale, check out the series.
