Yuletide Letter
Dear Yuletide author,
First of all, thank you for writing for me. You must be wonderful because you’ve offered to write in these wonderful fandoms!
Please take everything I write here as a suggestion. I hope my prompts aren’t restricting, because these fandoms have so little written about them and I am keenly interested in your take on the series.
1. General likes and dislikes
Here is a little more information about my general likes and dislikes:
Dislikes:
I generally dislike sad endings or character deaths, but for at least one fandom that I have requested, character death is quite canon. That said, I would prefer a bittersweet ending as opposed to outright angst.
Other dislikes: mpreg, rape.
Likes: fluff, angst in moderation, humour, wit, sarcasm, plot, adventure, mystery
I am slash inclined, but I also like gen.
I like canon as much as I like outrageous AUs. Mostly though, I just like seeing the characters being their flawed, wonderful selves. If I have specified a pairing, it’s because I love their dynamic. If you don’t want to write slash, feel free to write gen, preferably with a focus on those characters.
Romance: If you happen to be a slash writer, then I would love some romance from you! I especially have a weakness for romance of the subtle kind. I like slow build-ups and easy pacing. On the other hand, I also like awkward outbursts of confessions. Take your pick, I’m actually easily moved.
2. Specific fandoms
Youkai Ningen Bemu
Natsume/Bemu would be preferable, although Bemu, Bella and Belo as a family is also irresistible.
I know that you may not be in the JE fandom, but if by chance you are, let me just say: anything with Kame (or in this case, his drama character) in it will make me very happy.
I can’t even begin to explain how much I love this new drama. I absolutely adore Bemu, Bella and Bero. I think Nastume is charming. I will be thrilled to receive Natsume/Bemu. I would love Bemu/Bella. Bemu, Bella and Belo as a makeshift family makes me grin until my cheeks hurt. So really, feel free to write in any genre.
Saiyuki Gaiden
I love this series. I love Saiyuki, Reload, Gunlock and of course, Gaiden. If you want to do something complicated and include characters from the other series go ahead! Although I would also enjoy something just based on the Gaiden characters.
The relationship between Konzen and Goku is probably my favourite thing about Gaiden. I can’t express how charmed I am by Goku’s obsession with Konzen’s hair. Then there are Kenren and Tenpou. Tenpou is this wonderful who you don’t want to piss off because you won’t know what hit you if he held a grudge. Kenren is Gojyo, but not exactly, although just as brave and royal. The four of them together is chaotic and hilarious, but also moving and unbeatable (almost).
I hope you can see how much I love these characters. On pairings, I am quite happy with gen, but if you decide to write a romance, I am easy with Konzen pairings (Konzen/any character). Kenren/Tenpou is good too. The only thing I will say, is that if you are going to write a Goku pairing, I would prefer he be paired with Konzen/Sanzo - just because he seems to adore him in canon.
BOSS (TV)
I have a weakness for Noda-chi (Nodate) so any appearance by him would be appreciated. Noda/Osawa, gen, slash, I'm open to anything.
Boss is great. If you just write a story about Osawa being great, I would be perfectly happy.
Noda-chi is also great. If you write a story about Noda-chi being great, I would be happy too.
Another great thing about this drama is that the characters are really, really likeable. When I say I’m open to anything, I really mean it. Write Nodate/Osawa (being great together), gen, slash, cannon, AU, crack, parody - anything!
Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi
This anime owns my heart. I love the different pairings and each episode makes me laugh and cry and impatiently wanting more.
Takano/Onodera, Hatori/Chiaki, Yukina/Kisa, Ryuichio/Asahina etc. There isn’t a character that I dislike. I am familiar with Junjou Romantica too, so feel free to add any characters from that series if necessary.
I hope I have been helpful and not given you any stress. Just take everything I’ve written as a guideline. Simply having something written for me will make me very happy.
