Very Old School: Okay,I was seduced to the dark side by this
Alexander Scott and by dark side, why yes I do mean both finding Bill Cosby hot and slashing him with his I Spy partner(and trying really hard not to think about them on the Cosby show). I'm enjoying the show. It's darker than I thought, and I've gained an new respect for Robert Culp now that I know he wrote several eps of the show, including the Pilot-which was interesting and edgy and sadly still relevant in several ways--and didn't take the traditional 'here's how they meet and here's the premise of the show' pilot route(not that there's anything wrong with that). Also interesting, location shoots. Not something you see that often these days, for a t.v. show.
Old School: I admit I'm easy when it comes to NCIS and this weeks show tickled me to no end. Gibbs was so perfectly happy with the old technology, and watching the others cease to function amused me terribly(paper cuts, Abby resorting to hard liquor-hee!) and made me feel old at the same time. My only quibble is that Tony is certainly old enough to remember the world without all the shiny new toys in it, and I would have loved to see him embrace some of the old school stuff too, though he was pretty enthralled by the cameras. My sekrit McGee/Ziva shippiness got a little thrill by the elevator scene, and Tony's implications about them leaving together. Oh and how could I forget--Gibbs played with Tony!
New School: Okay can Sam and G just transfer to DC so they can get just married already when the law passes? How hot/sweet was it that Sam went in to get his boy, leaving everybody else all wtf? And seriously, every argument they have when they are coming in together in the mornings sound like 'how we're going to raise the kids' arguments. Major quibble with this ep was the complete lack of prep re: backup. They didn't even have anybody standing by. They had lots of weapons so they were expecting to do more than recon, so why was back up 20+ mins away?
