Pet Peeve
When people write fanfic like it's original fic--specifically--stop telling me things I already know, and anyone that's in the least familiar with the fandom already knows and random people who have just heard of it pretty much know.
eg...Clark Kent=Kal EL=Superman. Hogwarts is a school for wizards. Atlantis is in another galaxy. Working it organically into a story is one thing, but seriously something like 'Clark Kent, also known as Kal El-the name given to him by his Kryptonian birth parents...' ugh. Just stop it! It's ruining perfectly decent fic.
