the fast and the furious, redux
So. I'm watching the movie again for the first time in probably 8 yrs.
About an hour in-thoughts. (also wtf mtv movie awards-no best on-screen pairing this year? to clarify the category is gone, not that vin/paul weren't nominated)
Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez-so, so fuckable. Eight years later-still extremely fuckable. Michelle hardly looks any older but Paul and Vin do and they wear it well. They look tired and worn in the latest version and it adds a nice depth to the characters
Jordana Brewster is a lot prettier than I remember her being. Not so much in the new one--though maybe I'll change my mind when I see it again.
Letty and Leon have a lot less personality than fanfic has convinced me they do. This is very disappointing. Seriously, scowling and tight tops =/= personality. It's like Letty was an afterthought to make it seem like Brian and Dom weren't headed to Iowa at the earliest opportunity. I think things get better in the last half of the movie. We'll see.
Dom and Brian-so very much in love. I'm glad to see that was not a fanfic induced dream. And the jealousy from Letty, Mia and Leon as they fall head over heels-obvious and amusing.
eta-seriously, how many times did they mention how pretty Brian was in this movie--poor Paul Walker.
