So I totally love sports movies more than I love sports. I don't care that the formula is the same 99% of the time-that what I love the most.
Except tonight-The Superbowl went from being sports, to sports movie.
You have the record at stake, and then you have...
The Patriots = totally the 'bad guys' from a sports movie. Attitude, constant winning, cheating, sense of entitlement, bad sportsmanship. They are the jock/fratboy asshole
and while the Giants might not exactly be the classic 'nerd/underdog' they have they have the 'hero' who failed to live up to his potential and is trying to get out of his brother's shadow.
All together awesome.
