30 years in, I'd still hit that like the fist of angry God

in other words White Collar, why you gotta break my heart?

Okay first off, let me just say Ew! tiny chicken scene, Ew! Peter/Elizabeth>>>>>>>Neal/Sara. Show at least let them have a relationship even if it's friends with bennies for us to become invested in before you start paralleling them to mr and mrs awesome Peter and El.

You know I spent the whole season of Leverage rolling my eyes at the Damien Moreau = big bad subplot and wishing they'd just get it over with and they kicked ass with that wrap up. The only thing that would have made it more amazing would have been if they hadn't seemed to be pulling stuff about the character out of their assthe handbook of dark mysterious villains for most of the season and had actually established him as a strong character. The takedown would have been that much sweeter.

On the other hand, I spent two years of White Collar wanting to know what was going on and who the big bad was, and this was utterly disappointing, illogical and crazy making.

I mean they took Adler's character from a smart, charming, immoral guy who walked away scott free with a billion dollars of other people's money to some kind of obsessive lunatic who risks his money, his freedom and his life with a Rube Goldberg filtered through Acme scheme to find sunken Nazi treasure off the coast of New York. In.two.episodes.v Then they killed him. And that was a waste, not just because Andrew McCarthy is still hot like fire. But because he could have been an ace villain and a genuine threat to the Peter/Neal relationship by offering Neal the same type of father/brother/crush relationship without the expectations of legal and moral behavior.

Also, Neal, work through your daddy issues, buddy.

*The only thing that would make this work for me is if Kate is in that warehouse. I want Kate to stop being a Princess in the tower and have some sort of agency in this. And nope, still don't think she's dead.*

I was happy to see Moz and Alex reminding us and the Feebs --even in samll ways--that Neal might be under their thumb, but they are not.

okay it seriously looks like Peter carries his emotions in his chest where I do. He was practically gasping for air when he confronted Neal. Who flounced away in the loveliest manner, as usual. Plus, did they put his anklet back on or is he 'footloose'?

Also, Neal is such their fragile little flower. I mean Diane and Jones were all 'you were in physical and/or emotional danger! let us take care of you!'

It's a good thing I love these characters so much. Also that I've had any true expectations of logical plot beaten out of me by Smallville years ago so it's a treat, not a necessity in my entertainment.

wc, wtf?, white collar, season finales
