really Star Trek? really?

So, not ready to finish I Spy yet, Robert Culp's death is a little too fresh so Star Trek is regularly on the viewing menu. After watching about fifteen eps, including City on the Edge of Forever, Devil in the Dark is the one that made me cry. The Horta was so very, very alien and they actually gave a fuck about her and her eggs even before they found out they could help with the mining. There wasn't one, 'humans deserve to live so much more than she does' moment. Also, I might possibly be as in love with Kirk and Spock as they are with each other. Bad fx is still bad but I just look at the scenery like they're doing a play now, especially with the clearly painted backdrops that I keep forgetting are supposed to be windows, and keep thinking are awesome deco paintings of whatever place they are supposed to be.

I stated before that I couldn't watch this show seriously, but expected it to be a lot of fun. I take back the first part. Honestly good writing, acting and moral/ethical/philosophical issues with no pat answers trumps bad fx, scenery chewing and decades of parody/mockery.

NCIS:hmm--written by a slasher I presume?

okay, the Tim/Tony was hardcore and very cute. If I shipped them, I'd be very happy right now. Well, except for Tony's fling, but clearly he was trying to make McGee jealous...he was very harsh to McC though. I love how well Abby knows Tony. He has what he wants in his team, whichever way you look at it and no one outside the team is going to stand a chance in comparison.

On to my actual ship. So, Gibbs likes it rough and Tony was clearly turned on by getting slapped around in a sexual situation. I know someone is writing this story right now *pretty please*!

I guess I'm in the minority in that I'm actually happy with only a few friends. Gibbs has Ducky and Fornell and in a different capacity Tony and Franks. I'd say he's sincerely more 'dad' than friend to Abs, Ziva and McGee. Plus it seems like everyone who's ever worked with him that doesn't hate him, adores him, so I'd think his small number of friends was by choice. I'd actually like to see him be friends with Holly though, with honestly no ust, no romance, nothing sexual at all between them.

So, NCIS:LA tom, and more Trek!

star trek, the mind boggles, ncis
