Ray/Bob.
I really enjoyed the tight focus on Bob's POV in this, as well as the characterisation. Absorbing AU.
“You Bob?” The guy says, and of course he’s got this deep little voice that makes Bob glad he didn’t ask if he was Ray.
“Yeah,” Bob says, and stays where he is. He can feel the muscles in his leg trembling a bit from standing still for so long, but sudden starts and stops make it worse, make him look clumsy and neurotic and he’s not, really, and no one needs to know anyway.
“I’m Frank,” the guy says, and takes his hand away from the doorframe, holding it out to shake. Bob takes a careful step forward and takes it, a cursory handshake that leaves him even more uncomfortable than before.
Bob isn’t sure whether he’s supposed to say something else now, but Frank kind of shrugs and turns towards the dark inside of the bar. “I’m going to show you around.”
