So many things to think, write, feel.
1. I decided that apple tree thing that was going around myspace - as in boys are too scared to get the most beautiful apples at the top of the tree so they settle for the rotten and accessible ones - is about the truest thing I've ever read in my life besides Walden. Barf.
2. Zippy's is definitely a cool and random place in Everett.
3. When working on our political party in Gov - the Social Anarchists - it kind of freaked me out, in that people actually started understanding and agreeing with Emma Goldman's philosophies of anarchy and voluntary communism. It really made me feel like, whoah, if people start believing in people, maybe we actually COULD change the world.
BUT, then I was thinking about it, and because anarchy and voluntary communism is the ideal world, it would never happen. Humankind inherently needs evil - and government is evil - because without evil, we can't have goodness. Goodness is the saving and opposing force of evil; but if we have nothing to save and oppose, then how is it good? It's like smoking pot. It makes you feel really good, but over time, it takes away the highs AND the lows of natural emotions, so you feel nothing anymore. That's what anarchy would be like. Perfect, but it wouldn't get us anywhere, because there is no life without conflict.
So my idealism has indeed proved to be ideal, and that's exactly why it shouldn't happen - conflict, suffereing, and evil are the lifebloods of that which is good.

5. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY ASS OUT OF THE UNITED STATES FOR CHRISTMAS AND NEXT SUMMER. HOLY SHIZ. I MISS EUROPE SO BAD. I WANT CHOCOPIC.
6. Gourmet just had an entire issue devoted to Christmas food INCLUDING a huge party hors d'oeuvre section, so i have some great ideas for my party. DECEMBER 17TH
