Close Call

It all started when I got home from school. I did my chores and got started on my homework, another one of those routine days. I was just waiting for the argument with my mother's husband, and sure enough, it came. It starts with an angry shout for me and Emma. We arrive to the place of shouting to find a very pissed off Bryan (since it's too cold for him to go to work, he has a lot more energy to yell and scream). After about ten minutes of him screaming at us for not having the dog pen clean (which there is a very good reason for), I did something completely stupid... I stood up for myself. Needless to say he really didn't like that. So my sentence was no friends, no computer, no telephone, early bedtime, AND (this one really made me tick) no guitar, keyboard, or piano! The duration of this punishment was "a long time", and a long time can be pretty... well... long. Lucky for me, Bryan has a habit of coming back for more after the initial victory. I don't think he expected me to come back from defeat and turn the tides of the battle (I wasn't even expecting it), but I did. I won the fight and my punishment was revoked. Now I just hope I can make it until the weekend.

Thought of the Day: Come on Cole... don't say ANYTHING... don't say it, don't say it, don't say it... oh god, you just said it! Now look what youve done, you idiot!

Quote of the Day:
(In World Cultures)
Senior Girl: How old are you, Mr. Reetz?
Mr. Reetz: 25
Senior Girl: I'm 18 now.
Mr. Reetz: Ah...
Senior Girl: I'm legal now.
Mr. Reetz: Congratulations
Senior Girl: So... ya wanna get together after I'm out of high school?
Mr. Reetz: ...
(class goes silent)
Mr. Reetz: ... Moving on...
