So, I thought I'd rec Compulsion by
arionrhod as I finally read it even though
darthmaligna recced it weeks (months?) ago. It's a nice twenty chapter AU Snape/Lupin, where they're rival figure skaters with Dumbledore and McGonagall as their (respective) coaches. I suppose angst would be the proper catagory for this one, though it's very sweet overall. I'm actually really glad I decided to give this one a go, because it usually takes a long fic to get me into a pairing, and I've never read any Snupin before (recs? please?).
Another fic I just have to mention because it is fantastic is You're a Map of a Place Someday Maybe I'll Go by
pippinmctaggart, which is lotrips of the Billy/Dom variety and a wonderful long read (55000 words). Now, I don't even fancy any of the hobbits, this is my first Billy/Dom ever and I still want to rec it to everyone, I think that says something about the quality of this fic. It too is undeniably angst, but with amazingly good humor and hot sex scenes and just, very good. I don't know why, but I seem to find much more mature fics in the lotrips fandom, and this is no exception.
Still going through flist (with frequent fic breaks), but I will prevail!
(I know my title has nothing to do with content, but I hate that I keep fogetting to add one. Also, it's true. I will worship my signed copy of Fahrenheit 451 until the day I die.)
