So i recently picked up a Canon 300D/Digital Rebel for a mere £87, and I have to say, It was worth every penny and more. Even with the dodgy little lens that comes with it, the pictures are so much more amazing than those tiny little point and shoots.
with ducklings springing up all around campus, I took the liberty to shoot a couple (with the camera!) and I found the results quite good:
I touched up this image in
Aperture to increase the exposure, along with the color balance.
For this I blindly held my camera down dangerously close to the toxic lake and hit the shoot button - its not an amazing photo but it was fun in its inception.
I also cant emphasise the need for a polarising filter for outdoor shooting - here's a comparison of polarising (on top) vs. no polarising (underneath)
