Comin at ya like a whirlwind.
Well I have decided to stick to my schedule of updating one every two months. This entry will consist of many random thoughts grouped as such. These thoughts could be from today, yesterday, or even April 8th, I think that is the day after the last update.
Thought 1 (not intended to make Jason blush) - Waving at Strangers have been in the studio and have gotten their new songs back. I must say they are fulfilling my prophesy, after the second time I saw them I walked out of the show, called a friend and told them that these guys were going to make it. The new songs are on the website and are awesome. Mad props to Jason for the Schopenhauer reference, but honestly all but 3 people I know will have to answer "no" to that question. They don't even know what it is. Anyway these guys are awesome musicians; they throw fun parties, and are all around fun guys. Check 'em out.
Thought 2 - I realize this is a uniformed statement that probably wouldn't be the best in all situations, but at the present I don't feel like thinking of one where it doesn't work. Privatize all business. Government just screws things up, just look at the nation's school system.
Thought 3 - I watched Summerland last night, you know it falls into my WB drama category, for which I am a sucker. Lori "Aunt Becky" Loughlin must have been working on this thing since the end of Full House. She is a creator, producer, and one of the main characters. Girl's ambitious huh?
Thought 4 - This one is definitely from early April. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is awesome.
Thought 5 - If you stand on a bridge and clog up 4 separate interstates you deserve to die. Don't try to talk the people down. If it seems to them that this is a good idea there is no telling what other idiotic acts appeal to them. (Insensitivity Warning)If I have to sit not moving in traffic for two hours, I want some excitement. That day was the most anticlimactic ever.
Thought 6 - Summer is not for school. You have a break for a reason.
Thought 7 - Jon just sent me the mastered copy of the new CD. Holler at me if you want it. Good for him is all I have to say. He deserves a new CD and I'm glad it's really good. Oh and by "want it" I mean maybe a song or two, you gotta support independent musicians.
Thought 8 - This is an add on to Thought 1. Clint has mastered the art of vocalry.
Thought 9 - The Pixies are awesome. Everyone should buy Surfer Rosa.
Thought 10 - I want an upright bass, a old phonograph, and Pearl Jams catalog of LPs on vinyl.
