my rescued baby Nyki. Nyki was part of a litter who were beaten senselessly before they were even old enough to leave their mother.
we got Nyki at 8 weeks old the rest of her litter was seized by the SPCA and euthanized due to severe internal injuries. There was one puppy a beautiful female brindle I remember when i held her she cried out in agony and fear.
Nyki was a present for my 16th birthday and she is still a very sketchy,nervous dog . She chews herself raw and gets hotspots if there is too much stimulation in the house or she is alone for any length of time.
She is very hard to take pictures of because when she hears her name called she gets terrified and runs away. We just try to talk softly and usually wait for her to come to us. She is extremely cuddly when she comes to us.
we werent even planning on getting Nyki we were actually planning on adopting an adult dog from the SPCA when my friend told us about these puppies her neighbour had and was abusing as soon as we got there and saw how battered and terrified they were we had to take one home. After we got Nyki home safe , we phoned the SPCA and reported those people.
We got Rosie who is a Shepherd Wolf X almost 3 years ago and since we've gotten Rosie Nyki has really come out of her shell.
my fiance and I are currently looking for the right rescued dog for us. the girls live about a 5 minute walk away from us with my parents.
