Viva Las Vegas!
Hello my LJ cousins and friends...
my standard apologies for not updating, emailing, calling, sending snail mail or any message pigeons in the past few months. it's been so long i BARELY remembered the password!
just a quick update to make you all jealous...as you can probably tell by my subject line that I'm not updating from my regular location ie. the ie offices! That's right, as of Thursday Jan. 13th, I've been a guest at the Westin Casuarina in Las Vegas, Nevada. (btw, it's apparently pronounced NE-VEH-DA and not NE-VAH-DA as I've always assumed it was..it's the Canadian in me.) Anyway, why exactly am i updating this on a sunday morning in Las Vegas when I really shouldn't even have a computer??? This can be explained in one of two parts. First, it's all thanks to my busy, workaholic friend Jen who came directly from Chicago from work with her laptop..and secondly, i decided to get up and hog the shower first...my mistake however came in the form of timing. As I am now finished my shower, my friend Jen is finished her shower, but our other two bedfellows are still passed out in bed!
as i post however, the raging headache that has been developing from the constant walking, dancing, second hand smoke, eye strain from zillions of neon lights and of course those two red bull vodkas last night are now catching up with me...so i will conclude this update with a little note with a tally to let you know exactly how many buffets I've been to on this 4 day trip so far....drumroll please!!!! THREE!
