Personality trait analysis based on that ? Maybe...but not with only two data points.
Taking the guitarists themselves, you've chosen two of the most emotive guitarists in the age of rock. David Gilmour has a flowing, soulful style that is all his own. There's really no one out there that sounds like he sounds. His sound is so fluid, his tone is so perfect...most of his playing stuns me.
Slash, by contrast, is very much built on the blues and blues/rock guitarists. Like Gilmour, though, he seemingly has a direct link between his emotions and his fingertips, with no brain involvement. His playing is very expressive...like Gilmour, only as flashy as it needs to be to make the music sound the way he sort of instinctively knows it should sound. His sound is big and dirty and rough in the way that only big guitar rock and roll can be.
Gilmour solos of note in my playlist - Shine On You Crazy Diamond I-IV, On an Island, Comfortably Numb, Another Brick in the Wall, Pt 2. All stunning.
Slash solos of note - Sweet Child o' Mine, November Rain, Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle
Slash, IMHO, singlehandedly revived guitar oriented rock music.
Not sure what that means about you other than you like good guitar solos...
