This is still not the post I want to be making, but just quickly: my parents got me one of the This American Life compilations for Christmas, and it included the famous segment on The Best Phone Message in the World, which is Act One of this episode. (In case you're not quite sure you know what I'm talking about, it's the message about the Little Mermaid.) If you've heard this before, you should comment immediately and share your experience of how hilarious it was. I feel I will not recover from that for quite some time.
