I could feel it coming on while we were in Maine. It started with a sore throat and an overwhelming thirst, but I was convinced that was just because my in-laws smoke and the house is so dry. Then yesterday I got a little headachy and sniffly. So I started popping zinc lozenges (you know, the ones that make everything taste bad afterward). No luck. I now have a full-blown cold. A sniffling, sneezing, coughing, walking-NyQuil-commercial cold.

Too bad I have no sick time yet.
