I woke up at 8, but since my connection's wonky I faught it all morning to get to do the things I planned on doing before going outside...so when I gave up and decided to go outside anyway, of course the sun was almost gone and it was cold as heck.... I love reading outside! I've been an avid reader since I was a kid, but in th elast couple of years I have pretty much only read Harry Potter...so it feels good to be reading this much again!

While I do own some Mercedes Lackey books, I don't have that one...I did like the Gryphon series, though. :)

Oh, definitely give the Five Hundred Kingdoms series a try. It starts with The Fairy Godmother, then goes through One Good Knight, Fortune's Fool, and finally, The Snow Queen.

I don't pay attention to owies, but there's definitely romance. She mixes and matches fairy tales in order to tell a new story. It is fluffier than her Elemental Masters series. The stories are mostly told from the females' points of view.
