The world looks different, yet the same

The performance last night went well.

Sadly, I don't think any pictures were taken. A friend of mine videotaped it, but with no or very little zoom and he was sitting in the back of the room so I doubt you'll be able to see much. The sound should be okay, though I'm not too happy with my singing as I was nervous and then concentrated on the statement I was making with disrobing....

But I got a lot of applause, several people commented to me afterward, and I feel really good about it. The entire evening was a success, really, with about 50 people in the audience. Afterward I bought myself a chicken burger with extra fries and a big 7-Up because I felt...entitled. *nods* Then I went home and crashed for twelve hours....

Today I've been trying to get my hands on the most recent House ep. After a gazillion tries (well, it seemed like that many, anyway), I finally managed to get my hands on a good copy. I have a question about the ending though, for those of you who saw it on TV. Is it to end right after Foreman's "What?" comment, House, Cameron & Mr. Foreman's reaction shot and thenthe reaction shot of Foreman? Mine cuts off so abruptly on Foreman (after about two seconds), so I thought I should ask.

I recieved a book from Valerie - Marrying Smart!. One would think I'm getting desperate with not just one, but TWO "how to find a man/get a good marriage" books. ;-) In the mail there was also a notification that I had a package waiting at the store (and it didn't say who it was from, so I was a bit curious), so I scurried off with 3 minutes to spare (I had to watch House first *g*). I got there the second before they closed the doors!

It was my books from the Bahá'í Publishing Trust in India! So now I have Words of God, Remembrance of God, The Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Bahá, Century of Light, the compilation on WOmen and The Importance of the Arts in Promoting the Faith and Lights of Guidance! YAY!

Dad called me twice today. Once from Arlanda airport, and this evening he called me from his hotel room in Amsterdam. I tried for months to get him to let me tag along, but to no avail...me being the only one in the family who speaks even the tiniest bit of Dutch.... Oh, well, he's bound to make it up to me somehow. *nods*

I also got a text message from Erika. We were supposed to go to the movies tonight, but she's gotten sick.... Hopefully she'll be okay soon. I'm really tempted to go and watch the sneak preview of Impossible Mission 3 at midnight, but I don't know...I can't really afford it, and if Erika and I are going to see it later anyway I can't justify going.... *sighs* And just because I made that decision, I now have a candy craving...figures. Oh, well, I'll just go and have some dinner. And see if I can find the money somehow...I have 20 minutes before I have to decide.

money, bahá'í faith, movies, tv, books, drama class, friends
