I always play her music a lot, and to some of the people I've lived with, and they would say, 'Please take that f------ record off.' They just didn't get it, they didn't feel the same way. I've had that reaction to Leonard Cohen, I've had that reaction to Van Morrison, or Bob Dylan, particularly singers that push their voices into different ways that are really unique. I know people who cannot bear to listen to Bob Dylan. And often to me this denotes a great, very individual, idiosyncratic voice. An exciting voice.
