All right, you lot, I'm asking for your inside scoop on Halloween parties around town with costume contests. I've already poked around online and flipped through the Weekly, and I'm rather confuzzled on all that's out there.
I'm hoping to find someplace that is having a Costume contest on Halloween night, and doesn't have any restrictions against masks. (i.e. Texas Station's "Heroes and Villains" party and contest doesn't allow full face paint or masks... *blink blink* Yeah, that's gonna cut down on the costume choices, don't you think?)
I would prefer it not be all outrageously expensive, or so "exclusive" that you've got to get bottle service or something just to be able to get in (I don't drink).
I also know that some places have specifically stated that they're having contests for the "sexist" or "scariest" costume, neither of which my costume is.
So yeah, I know there are ads to go by, but I'm looking for personal insights as well.
(For the record, my costume is as canon-accurate-as-I-could-make-it Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera, natch.)
Thanks in advance!!!
:)
