*wave* Hi. Wow, I haven't been on LJ in a bit. *stabs job and associated Abused Clerk Syndrome (TM)* Anyway, I'm here with this week's theme~. Isn't that special? Heh. We haven't done a lyrical theme in awhile (to my reckoning), so... how about...
Week 41: "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" by The Beatles
Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,
Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,
And she’s gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds.
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies,
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers,
That grow so incredibly high.
Newspaper taxis appear on the shore,
Waiting to take you away.
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,
And you’re gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds,
Picture yourself on a train in a station,
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties,
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstyle--
The girl with the kaleidoscope eyes.
This should be... interesting.... >.>; Yes, I chose it for a reason. No, I'm not telling. Yes, it's an in-joke at my house tonight. No, it's too complicated to explain. No, really-- your brain might explode.
Entries must fit LJ standards, must have at least three two consecutive words from the provided lyrics, and must be submitted to this screened post by Friday, December 2nd.
Note to Co-Mods: Um, I have a FEEEW banners done (I haven't been home much recently), but P-buck won't let me upload them. Rescue? Should I just email them to one of you?
EDIT: I HAD said "three words," but I realized there were a lot of 2-word phrases, so I edited. So 2 words minimum this time...
