camp

Last week Katie and I were at camp. It was an awsome time. Our campers were so cool. But we had Mary's neice in our cabin, so I felt some pressure to do extra good. It was all cool though. After like the first day I completly forgot that they were related. Katie and I took 9:00 archery with Scottie, 10:00 canoing with Monty, and I took 2:00 beads with Lisa Marie. Beads isn't my favorite, but I definatly found out a lot of stuff in that class. Archery was really fun, because we got to hang out and talk to Scottie. Plus I got to run up and down that huge hill to get tape like every other day. Then canoeing was an interesting experience. Katie, Tom, and I did Monty's mashit, it was so freaking funny. On wendsday there was a mudslide on the hunt field. Katie, Me, and two campers were like ya lets do it, but everybody was like "ya we stopped there isn't anybody up there". But that wasn't going to stop us. So we went up there and were quite dis appointed to see just a pile of mud. It looked like it would be painful to slide in it, so we were like hey lets roll around in it and put it all over our bodies and say that we slided. It was awsome, except for the part when the showers had no pressure and were freezing, so I couldn't get like any of the mud out of my hair. That was pretty grimy.

On monday or tuesday we played all camp capture the flag. That was so hilarious. Last year we played that, and it was extremely pathetic, because the boundries were quite messed up. This year they were better. I stayed and helped out at "base camp" as JimBob might say. We took white towels off of the hanging lines on cabins and pretended that they were flags. We were called cheaters, but it didn't matter, because the green team didn't get any flags anyways. I have to say that our MVP for that activity would have to be JimBob, because he was acting completely serious throughout the entire thing. He was basically pretending to be in the army. He had this system where he sat up in a tree on lookout, and blew a whistle when he saw somebody comeing. He was so freaking hilarious.

So yesterday I went to the DMV and got my permit. The first time I went to get it, apperently they were only a part time DMV, so I couldn't get my permit there. The second time I went to get it, they were closed because it was four days before the fourth of july. So I went again yesterday and finally I got it. I got a 100% on the test too. I had to look into this little view thing and read off what numbers I saw. After that I saw these little flashing things in the corner of my eyes. I thought that I had won something, but I guess it was just to check my perifital vision. I am A OK. Then that night my mom took me to the commuter parking lot so I could practice for the first time. Lets just say that I need a lot more practice. It was certainly an adventure. Oh ya and I saw Sarah there too. I guess she was trying to get her license.
