Shoot-a-week #15: X-Ray Frame
(I totally forgot to post this last night. The photo was ready, but by the time I got home from derby practice, I really just wanted to do nothing more than lie down and die...)
The other day, Miranda was teasing me with, "You sure like taking pictures of girls in their underwear." Well, yeah, I guess I do. I can only defend myself with a quote from the great Helmut Newton: "Any photographer who says he's not a voyeur is either stupid or a liar."
Or, by trying something a little different, while taking a picture of a girl in her underwear.
I saw something like this, some time ago, and I've wanted to try it, myself. This was finally a good opportunity to try it. I think it came together pretty nicely. If I do it again, I'll:

I saw something like this, some time ago, and I've wanted to try it, myself. This was finally a good opportunity to try it. I think it came together pretty nicely. If I do it again, I'll:
- use a smaller frame; this one covered too much area
- be more careful about camera placement; I had it on a tripod, but I must have jostled it between shots
- figure out how to make sure she can duplicate her position in both shots; I sort of lucked out with the position of her right arm. In the clothed shot, her arm was completely behind the frame, but in the underwear shot, it wasn't. Fortunately, it was pretty close.
Still, I think it's kinda fun.
