So I haven't done a real update in a while, so I guess I should :P
The last time I posted, I was feeling like super tired, yea I most definitely woke up the next morning with the worst case of flu ever. I felt like I was dying :( I had a 103.5 temperature, about an hour and a half after taking meds. I worked part of that Friday morning and then was sent home, and didn't return to work until the next Thursday. After the flu was gone, I got what seemed to be a sinus infection and then was out a Thursday and Friday that next week because I had a 24 hour stomach bug or something. Personally I believe it was a crazy mutated flu, haha. But, I'm finally back to normal for the most part, which is awesome and luckily Ian never caught the flu or got sick at all, which would have been horrible, since he has finals now.
Work is still going great. I start taking classes on the 26th again. Yes, I said CLASSES! I'm taking 5 short classes to get more money at work and have some starter credits on my masters. I toyed with the idea of starting my masters online , but unfortunately do not have the money right now. (it was 15,000 through U of Phoniex) But maybe one day I will be able to afford it and make more monies! So yea , the five classes I will be taken will end at the end of June. By then I will be making about 75 cents more an hour, which will be nice. Our center has what is called the Wage Ladder, where you are paid based on your number of early childhood classes, which works out GREAT for me since my bachelors is in ECE. YAY! So I can't wait to have these classes. I'm also going to take a few $10 classes just for the benefit of having some extra stuff, yay.
Ian and I are looking for a new place to live. Our lease here ends on June 1 and we aren't entirely pleased with things here, so we are trying to move to these places right down the street, which look super nice! The 2 bedroom is a bit pricey for us, but the one bedroom should work out nicely, Ian will go check it out tomorrow. They showed us a 2 bedroom, and it was great, but is more than we pay now and the whole point of us moving is to save some $$. Hopefully the 1 bedroom is great as well. The one we looked at had HUGE windows, and a great view of the Canadian Rockies (yay! so pretty!!!) so I'm hoping the one bedroom is nice too. AND !!! It has a FULL SIZE washer and dryer. Right now ours is teeny tiny, which sucks, it takes like 2 days to do all of our laundry from 5 days, not cool. So hopefully by the end of May we will be moving up the hill to Ashley/Bryon street, mwahahahahah.
The kitties are growing, they are almost a year old. Jane has discovered she likes to sleep under the covers which is funny. Enzo LOVES the laser pointer, hehe.
Ian and I are doing great as well. We are heading to Seattle this weekend to celebrate our 3.5 years anniversary. It was actually the 13th, but Ian was super busy with school so we wanted to wait till after finals. I can't wait to have a weekend away, yay!
Hm... what else? Oh yea, I've been reading a TON lately. Ian has me hooked on the Sword Of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It's pretty much awesome, hehe. I started about 2 weeks ago ( i think ) and am already on book 3. Each book is about 700 pages or more. They are SO good!
My kids and I are working on a cool art project. Our theme this week and next week is Imaginary Creatures, so one of the girls at work let me borrow this Fantasy cookbook that has a map in it covering Fairies, Merpeople, GNomes, Amazons and pretty much everything, lol. I drew a really big version of the map and have been trying to get it colored in so that we can use it as a play mat next week. My kids are really interested in it and seem to be intrigued. We also made an underwater castle for our mermaids and mermen. hehe.
I can't wait to see my people when I'm at home in July/August, heheheheheh. I love you all!!! See you in a few months :)
