Honours and the temptations of philotimia
So, this happened... Nick F. and Janice conspired to nominate me for the award, and so I, along with Lauren, and Andrew C. found ourselves with these little marks of appreciation.
This is being posted in the wake of my last meeting of Senate as a sitting member. 'Quite the barn-burner as well, on top of the along awaited presentation on the state of the University's pension fund (which I'd pushed for), the meeting ended with a point of order from my quarter, in which I took the time to castigate the administration for it's various breeches of by-laws, and to chide the faculty for their collective gormlessness.
Thereafter, the meeting adjourned Nick and the GSA folks took me out for a pint. Fun times!
