Dear Secret Santa:
Today, Amazon delivered your package, which contained a copy of Helvetica and the New York City Subway System. It's awesome! Or rather, it looks awesome, because I'm a little afraid to remove the shrinkwrap. You see, I don't remember signing up for any Secret Santa circles this year, and if there was supposed to be any kind of note identifying the sender, the Amazon Elves most certainly did not include it. I'm slightly worried that it was sent to me in error, except of course that this is so totally a me kind of gift (it's a coffee table book about subways and typefaces at the same time) that I'm actually concerned that I'm going to wind up with three copies before the year is out.
So, Santa, would you be so kind as to come forward? Or, perhaps, just leave tantalizing clues as to your true identity?
