Major League Baseball has seized control of the Dodgers, upon reports that the team is in dire financial straits and needed a $30M loan from Fox Sports West to make payroll. (No links because I am posting from my phone; corroboration available on Google News.)
Clearly the 55-year experiment has run its course, and must be abandoned now as a valiant but failing effort. I look forward to the return of the Dodgers to their rightful home in the Borough of Kings.
