All the official results are in from the election. I didn't vote for either of the two guys involved in the toin coss but glad that I went through all the trouble for the absentee ballots.

Here's small town politics for you:
With a firm handshake, Nesspor and Jones agreed to a coin toss with the understanding that the winner would agree to appoint the loser to Willis’s vacant Council seat after being sworn in.
Before the coin-toss, Nesspor thought there should be a preliminary coin-toss to see who gets to call the "official" coin-toss in the air, which Nesspor won.
Moments later a member of the election board tossed a Quarter in the air; Nesspor called “heads” and the coin went into a lengthy spin as it hit the ground. There were a few gasps of anxiety from the crowd until the coin finally fell heads-up.
Nesspor's partner, Amy Nickerson, gave Nesspor a jubilant hug as the local waterman was declared the official winner of the council seat.
Jones said he felt very confident he would get Willis’s vacant seat, and Mayor Elect Willis told Jones soon after the coin-toss that he would make the appointment happen.
"It’s only fair," Willis said, as he assured Jones. "I will do whatever I can to appoint you to the Council... you’ve earned the right to be there."
