Hi From America
We had a great time in New York. We bought a 3-day pass, which gave us bus tours all round the city including a night tour and entry into the empire state building and a ferry to liberty and Ellis Island. Lots to see and do. We were only a short walk from Times Square and Broadway in one direction and Central park to the north.
I have tried a different breakfast every day. Pancakes with egg bacon and syrup, French toast (egg bread) Oatmeal (porridge with fruit) and bagels and muffins. Paul has had egg and bacon most days.
The hotel was OK but a room only no breakfast. Good job I packed a travel kettle some cups and tea bags but good value for money and in a good location.
Now we are in Washington. We have Internet in our room here. The hotel is much nicer and the room is bigger. We even have a little kitchen. However there are not as many shops and restaurants nearby.
One of my internet ‘friends’ lives near the Washington airport so she came and picked us up. She was really nice and we took her out to lunch.
