This Can't Possibly Be Happening [closed]

It had been an oddly calm and quiet past few weeks. With the wizarding world getting back on its feet following the solar flare, Cecilia was starting to see everyone fall into their rhythms again. She was relieved, mostly, because getting the hospital back in order had been a hellish experience. She had spent so much time there since that Saturday that she was beginning to forget what her own bed looked like. Though, that was mostly because any time she wasn't at the hospital, she was with George and Picard. If she had known she'd have been this smitten over Picard, she would have gotten a dog so much sooner.

But as it was, he was settling in really nicely and learning all his favorite nooks and crannies of George's flat.

Which was why, now, as she readied herself for a long double shift at the hospital, she was secretly hoping she'd lose him in the closet so she'd have some sort of excuse to call in late. But instead, he was sitting primly by the door, tag wagging with his tongue hanging out as she grabbed her purse and made her way toward the door. She perched down to scratch behind his ears before making her way to the hospital.

It was a brilliantly sunny morning and Cecilia had to shield her eyes from the glare as she turned the corner, having just Apparated outside the front passage into the hospital. She liked those little walks in the morning, they woke her up a bit.

And perhaps it was the sun clouding her vision because she all but smacked into another body as she rounded the turn.
