Wedding bells.

There was a lot that had stood in the way of this day.

Murderous rampages by sociopathic monks, witch burnings, Lucius Malfoy (more than enough times), a short two-month stint in Azkaban (which she liked to pretend was just a very long nightmare) and the tenuous nine-month pregnancy that Cecilia hadn't quite prepared herself for. That had been the one silver-living through it all. They could put off the event for as long as possible- because they had a child coming their way.

And it was worth it.

And he was perfect.

And she wanted to actually look slim in her wedding gown.

But throughout it all, there was the sliver of hope that one day this was going to be real.

It was bright outside, the skies bluer than she had ever seen them. Only a scatter of clouds lined the sky as a slight wind whipped through the open field surrounding The Burrow. It was the only place Cecilia could think of getting married- it meant so much to George, it was already becoming a family tradition and she thought the house was quaint and quirky and incredibly weird. It was perfect.

She could hear the chaos, a smile tinging her lips as she stood here, back to the home as she waited with baited breath for George. They had promised each other a secret meeting before the entire thing happened- a moment for just the two of them. While Gideon clung to his grandmother and the rest of their families got themselves ready- this would be just for them.
