WGA Writers Strike to Go Ahead: Effects on Heroes

Nov 03, 2007 00:04

Barring dramatic progress in negotiations over this weekend, the WGA TV and movies writers, will go on strike starting Monday, at 12.01 AM.

So it is really happening. Pencils will be down....for the first time in 20 years.
The last time it happened it was 1988. It lasted over 5 months back then, with a huge loss for the industry. Hopefully, this time it won't last that long.
The writers have no choice but to go on strike, and I think we all support that decision.
I know if something happens to our favorite show/s we'll be mad, but I think we all agree that they, at this point, have no choice but to go on strike.

Strike Effects on Heroes

There are rumors that NBC has shut down production of Heroes, due to
the writers' strike going ahead. They were halfway into shooting
episode 13 and 14.
Since Christian was supposed to start shooting
after Thanksgiving, if confirmed, this could mean that we won't get to
see Christian on Heroes for a (possibly very long) while.
NBC has requested a reshoot of the ending of ep 11 of Heroes (which was
supposed to end with a cliffhanger before December hiatus), to be a
season-ender.

Fingers crossed this doesn't get confirmed and that the writers strike ends soon!

I'll keep you updated

I want Christian back on screen so badly...*pouts*
