Writers Strike Goes Ahead: Heroes Future?

As you all probably know by now, the writers strike is on, and, according to some labor experts, lasting for a while (fingers crossed the so-called experts are wrong!).

Surely, if they've contracted actors then they've already written the part. I'd assume each series of Heroes was already written before it started filming. In UK TV even weekly soaps are written six months ahead and filmed three months before airing.

I don't think it's the same in the US. From what I've read Soaps will be among the first to suffer from the strike, as they only plan one month ahead.
I doubt they have all the season of Heroes already written, or else the strike would not be a problem for them, plus scripts always need rewriting.
But yes, like you I'm assuming that since CC has been cast, then his part has already been written. Whether they will decide to air his ep/s, or even shoot them at all at this point, is another story.
I think the beauty of UK TV is that series are short, and they know well ahead where they are going and how to get there. If you have to stratch a season for 24 eps, all changes, and everything gets more complicated.
