Technically a day late, but school commitments and lack of time has had us here at CC_Gamers a bit tied for time. Of course, there are plenty of spoilers ahead in the review (but none so bad they brutally spoil the whole story, moreso just explain the sequence of events). You've been warned :D ( Read more... )

But not being able to see the enemy is the whole fucking point XD You're meant to move around and then if something is too close you can back off. Even with fixed cameras like 0, 1, 2, 3, CODE:Veronica et al, I can still play through each game pretty much with the knife only if I wanted because you just learn where enemies stand in the rooms and how to dodge them (fake them out, trick them, make them lunge when you back away so they fall over, stuff like that).
If unsure when shooting off screen enemies you can hear, keep tapping L to target and fire fast. You can hear when a zombie goes down for the count (usually in 3-4 shots their either drop and die, or just drop). If unsure what you just dropped is dead, look for a blood pool, or back away. If they lower their weapon and back away all unsure and cautiously, aim down and put a round or two into it. That'll normally kill them right off.

And blah is all I have to say to the cameras and aiming system for 4. I mean, yeah, I like the game, it was pretty cool, but fuck, was it action oriented enough? It really, really took away the survival horror element with that set up and just irked me to the max. The only thing that freaked me out in the game was the Regeneradors because you can't kill them without a rifle and an infered scope.
FYI... the control setup in 4 are EXACTLY the same as 0 and rebirth >:\ Holding B makes you run, pressing A while holding r-trigger lets you shoot et al. The only annoying difference with 4 is having to aim at specific body parts and such with your laser sight to stop you getting mauled by a mob.

re: molotov. Pretty much it's how hard you press the button when you throw it. If unsure, tilt your aim up and it'll arc into something that straight into the ground/feet of the enemy. You'd want to use them at a reletivly close distance in the first place so you can make sure it hit and such (and when it hits an enemy is stunned, so they won't hit you).
