I think it comes down to ego. JYJ's actions led to a hell of a lot of changes in the industry from contract lengths to enabling other people to stand up for themselves and leave as well (Hangeng), and even had the courts on their side along with the FCC. Plus they basically aired all of SME's dirty laundry, so I'm sure SME wants them to suffer as much as possible, both professionally as well as personally. They know damn well how close the five of them were, as well as how close they were to SJ. Ironically SME doesn't seem to realize that the more they cocklock JYJ, and purposefully keep the 2 away from the 3, that they're just making themselves look worse (and anyone that thinks it's BS that they get in the way of their personal lives really needs a reality check with facts vs rumors). I've noticed that, especially in the last year, whenever JYJ is in Japan, Homin isn't. And every time there's an awards show, premiere, or whatever else, same deal. It's pathetic, and unfair to all of them. They've gone through hell and back from training days to now, none of them need the added strain.

I could go on about other aspects, but I'll spare you. XD Basically I think it's all about putting them in their place, and Homin are caught up in the middle of it because they, contrary to what SME likes to say, were never against the lawsuit (iirc, there's documentation that proves they were going to sue as well until their parents stepped in, and JYJ's families pulled 6/25), AND letting them interact with one another would make their efforts at punishing JYJ moot.

For some reason I see SME as a jealous ex-lover, who thinks if you're not with me then I will make your life a living hell. And the way of punishment is very sadistic, I mean you give them enough freedom to become an actor or musical actor. You even let them perform as a singer but only outside S.Korea. But when it comes to projects in their homeland the max that JYJ can do is to work in commercials.

So not letting them to see each other is a logical step. But my naive fangirl heart believes that they are seeing each other!!!!!!!!

And I'm very curious about other aspects, so please tell me more!!

In essence, it is like a jealous lover. JYJ not only 'betrayed' SME, in their minds, they also 'ragged' on them to the world, letting people know exactly how cruel and inhumane their protocol and contracts were. That's like dumping someone and slapping them in the face, even when the one dumped deserves that and more. So SME has done whatever they can to disallow them to do music, seeing as SME believes the only reason DBSK had any fame was because of their training, not natural talent. They also have the power to do it in the music industry, to stop them and disallow them from finding their own two feet and proving that sentiment wrong. Given SME had only produced a couple movies with them, there was less reason to cockblock them there. That, and they probably figured they'd fail anyway. They also didn't have their fingers as deep into the acting side of the entertainment industry as they do now.

Honestly, I would love nothing more than to believe they were still in touch and friends. I'd be more apt to think so if they didn't all look so miserable, and things weren't either directly said or hinted at all the time. People often say it's not possible SME could keep Homin from JYJ, and yet when you get right down to it, it's more than plausible based solely on the age hierarchy, and the pressure from their parents. If all your elders say no, the answer is no.

As for other aspects, they're mostly based around Korean society and what is seen as right or wrong. One of the biggest wrongs is betraying your elders, and speaking out of line. The main reason none of us have heard even the blatant truth from JYJ, and the song that they wrong that's got things bleeped out of it, is because it's simply not done. They can beat around the bushes, but until they're a hell of a lot older, and even then maybe not, they're to keep their business to themselves.
