So I basically worked for 25 minutes on Friday (if you could even call that 'work'). I am officially on maternity leave and school is almost done as well. I take on final tomorrow and another one is slated for 2 Saturdays from now (I will most likely take that Saturday test earlier).
Went to Target on Fri and got a bunch of baby essentials. It feels great that we are starting to get organized for the baby (ie I've done a bunch of laundry so Alexis will have clothes to wear; bought crib bedding; setting up the room etc).
Wound up getting a few things:
In addition, bought a striped crib bed skirt in sage green/pink to match, as well as an extra fitted sheet in sage green. Ordered these online:
Also bought this - it was online only so I hope it's decent quality. I didn't want to get a matching Pali changing table which would have been a whopping $300 and IMO not worth it (in terms of what we're looking for, that is):
Finally, I have wooden letters that spell out "Alexis" - I am going to paint them and attach ribbon to them so that we can hang them in her room.
In other goings on, I will be seeing a lactation consultant Tues to get fitted for a maternity bra and to ask her Qs about preparing for BF-ing post C-S. While we're not 100% certain that we'll be having a C-S, I figured I better do my homework. We have another OB appt on Wed and should find out more about the birthing game plan then.
I just can't believe we are so close!
Oh and I got a call this Saturday while I was in class - our crib is finally here!. That took FOREVER to get here - it was insane. I am going to call them tomorrow to arrange for a delivery to my parents' house.
