Clint really loves Phil's ability to speak numerous languages, and encourages him to use them as often as possible, up to and including int he bedroom, whether Clint knows the language or not.

Phil Coulson is an Avenger. Clint Barton is a scrappy civilian that just can't seem to stay out of trouble. One day Phil saves Clint...and then keeps doing it. They've got to stop meeting like this.

“I can’t just call you ‘the Agent’.” Clint stated from his seat atop one of the TARDIS’ control panels. The Agent glanced at it briefly, long enough to be sure he wouldn’t need to flip any levers or press any buttons, before he continued to ignore Clint and walk around the central control panel. “C’mon, that can’t be your name.”

“It is my name.” The Agent responded. Were all Earthlings like this? He knew that several Time Lords were overly fond of them but this one seemed to complain an awful lot.

“Well, I can’t just call you that.” The Agent glanced up at the thump of booted feet on the floor. Clint was standing now, hands on his hips, looking pleased. “I’m gonna call you Phil.”

“…” He walked around the control panel and spun something hurriedly. They’d be landing soon. “Whatever makes you happy, Clint.”
