Weird Age Thing

Mar 27, 2010 15:02

No, I'm not at a weird age - the weird part is that sometimes I think of people that are my age as older, just for a second or so, like when I see their age written down. Like just now when I went to IMDB and they have a blurb that Quentin Tarantino is 47 today. My first, immediate, thought was, "Wow, he's a lot older than me," immediately ( Read more... )

Wow! I have to say I am VERY pleased you mentioned your BD in your post cos usually when I friend someone I make a note of it in my calendar, but I didn't for you for some reason!

but you;re in there now :)

I know what you mean about the age thing. I do the same thing, it;s like we forget our age for a few seconds, then it gently rests on us and we arte "oh ... yeah....." *depressed*

Well it's how is for me LOL

I can't ever forget your birthday because it's the same day as my middle sister's. But you're younger - you'll only be twenty-nineteen this year and she'll be twenty-twenty-four. (Or as my youngest aunt puts it, this year Peggy will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of her 21st birthday.)

Oh excellent. Being older makes me happy, there is nothing worse than knowing you are approaching 40 at break neck speed, knowing all the while that one of your friends sisters is 21 on the same day :)

HAHAHA! 23rd anniversary of her 21st LOL That's ace!

ZOMG I do that, too! And sometimes I look at someone who is my age and think, "damn, she looks older than that - ZOMG do I look old, too?!?"

Oh yes - that! I don't think I look my age - but I suspect most women don't think they look their age (or hope they don't).

I find this age weird. I can't seem to remember how old I am. Last year I told everyone I was 48, I just turned 48 this Dec, so I get to be forty eight for two years. And I do not feel 48, when I see people my age, I always think do I look like they do or maybe older and I don`t realize it. LOL!

Irish (husband) lied about his age and altered his birth certificate way back when to get into the Marines. Now he always forgets his age and tries to make himself a year older than her really is.

I don't feel my age either. I'm 58 and act 38, if that. LOL Some would say I'm immature, but I prefer to think of it as living happily.
Hugs, Patt

I would say "only" 47 ... as I'm 48! Anyway, that's a good age - the age of a certain other actor ... yes, James Marsters!

Johnny Depp will also be 47 in June - 1963 was a good year. (Well, until November.)
