I'm at the computer lab but have to hurry so I'm just posting a few things:
Happy Birthday to
speakr2customrs! May you have many more years to come filled with family, music, and great fic!
Congratulations to
ozma914 for his (always deserved) nominations.
curiouswombat, I just read the latest installment of "Return of the Key" and it's every bit as good as the others. And there's one more to go! Yay! (I wonder how Faith and the Els will get along. Doesn't that sound like some odd doo-wop group?)
I was in class during the VP debates and haven't even seen highlights yet. I'll do some searching on my own on Monday, but in the meantime, is anyone aware of any websites that will be re-running the debate for awhile, or at least the major points?
Also, doesn't this just figure: Wednesday, I think it was, I stopped in here to catch up some e-mail and do some schoolwork and got wonderfully distracted by
lauramcewan's Starsky & Hutch vids over on youtube. They're fantastic; she's very gifted. (But she's not lauramcewan on youtube and I forget exactly what her user name is there. Look for Starsky & Hutch vids set to "Still the One", "Dancing Nancies", and "Desperado" among others to find her.) So that night, I kept having dreams about S&H, incluing one in which I was writing a fic that took place before the pilot, when Hutch and Nancy/Vanessa were splitting up and this dream included chunks of just perfect dialogue between Starsky & Hutch. I remember waking up thinking I was far too sleepy to get up and write it all down and I sure hoped I remembered it in the morning. Do you think I did? No, of course not! *sigh* (I know I could keep a notebook and pen by my bed for just this purpose, but I have that type of insomnia that does not allow me to sleep straight through the night and I try not to encourage it. It's been much, much better since I got a bed in August - we'd been sleeping on the floor - but I still wake up at least twice a night. I'm not going to wake up on purpose just to record dialogue that might, in the morning, prove not to be quite that perfect after all!) (But this stuff really was.... LOL)
