I don't know if there is an official Saint Clive on the official church calendar, but in my head today is always Saint Clive's Day. It's the birthday of C. S. Lewis (1898). Usually I try to do something to commemorate the day, but it doesn't always happen. I like going to an Irish pub or restaurant (Lewis was from Belfast), having a good meal - preferably with other Lewis fans - and raising a pint of something in his honor. I've never been much of a drinker myself, but on Saint Clive's Day, it just seems like the proper thing to do. Alas, this year as soon as I'm done here I'll be off to purchase a 99-cent cheeseburger at Burger King then catching the bus to school.
Come to think of it - doing something educational on Saint Clive's Day isn't a bad way to celebrate at all!
