This year I'm doing cross-stitch and crochet things for Christmas presents. I didn't really get started until August and that was at least a month late, so when I saw this subject line in my inbox today: "Christmas crafting starts now!" I laughed out loud. If you're crafting for Christmas, it starts in July! (If not earlier.)
I've had an Instagram account for several years but have never posted to it. I want to start using it to post crafty stuff and miscellaneous photos but I need a good name for it because Colleen M. is kind of boring and MISS Bellairs would require explaining. (I once, over 20 years ago, went out of town for vacation and threw all my already a few days overdue library books in the trunk of the car to take back on the way out of town. Except I immediately forget they were there and left town with them. I had to pay that fine off in installments. Anyway, when I returned them, I noticed that Mrs. S. was at the desk and I quietly snuck the books onto the desk with all the other returned books stacked there, then tried to just as quietly sneak off - but she looked up and saw me, looked at the books I returned, and said, "MISS Bellairs! You cannot afford to be racking up fines this large! Why are they so late?" She was an older, rather stern woman from Scotland that still had her accent after decades in the US. You can imagine the tone of voice she used!) I've thought about Suzy Q because I like the song and I've used it online in the past but it's not really a name anyone associates with me. cbtreks seems kind of obvious but most of my family doesn't know about slash and none of them know I've ever written any, no matter how PG-13 it is, and I'd prefer to keep it that way. I keep coming back to Bookends, which is my favorite Simon & Garfunkel song and references photographs. Of course it's pretty melancholy but I guess that doesn't really matter. I'm sure I'm overthinking it!
Tom Mison needs to record audio books. He needs to records all the audio books. I might've said that before but it bears repeating. (Ok, he can share with Christopher Lee - though I hope he wouldn't be recording anything posthumously - and Patrick Stewart. I need some women for that list!)
17 - have you ever been part of a wedding party? I've been a flower girl at least twice (and maybe three times but I'm uncertain) when I was a kid. I've never been a bridesmaid or maid of honor though.
18 - what song are you listening to at the moment? I'm not; I'm watching an episode of Sleepy Hollow on Hulu.
19 - what was the last piece of furniture you purchased? I think it was 3 small sets of white cubicle shelves that I mean to put under the window and stack all my music books and sheet music in. Yes, they're still sitting in boxes after all this time! (It's been a couple years. You'd think it could've been a lockdown project but no....)
20 - do you have an iPod? No. I had a couple generic mp3 players - I think I still do - but use my phone for listening on the go now.
21 - do you usually have to wear a belt with your pants? Nope!
