Monday, Monday...can't trust that day...

Wow. What a busy day.

Not.

It’s bad news when you walk into work the week of a holiday. Bad news in general. But it’s worse when you walk in and almost two hours later you’ve done one, maybe two tasks. And one of them is checking your email and discovering a e-card from a coworker ( Read more... )

And how is JC doing with the crying it out at bedtime thing? my_shoe_closet December 22 2003, 10:57:51 UTC
Is she still improving?

I hate those Taco Bell hybrids. If I want a taco, I'll go to Taco Bell. If I want pizza, I'll go to Pizza Hut. I don't need to have a taco and a piece of pizza at the same time. It's that Wal Mart mentality and it makes me mad. :)

Oh good Jesusu...do I have a site for you then. cbt377 December 22 2003, 11:25:36 UTC
Join me in my Walmart hatred.

It's GREAT fun, and just about all that's getting me through today. If you go there, be sure to read the first few paragraphs, then click on the link that says "If this is your first time..."

Trust me.

Julia is doing well with the CIO plan. We had a back-track last night, where she cried for an hour (thankfully I was out "shopping" aka --looking for Christmas sales for myself), but she's sleeping through the night and falling asleep in less than ten minutes for her naps.

The nicest part of this plan is that J and I no longer feel bad letting her cry so it makes it a lot easier on us to put her down. She goes to bed, we go do other things, like wrap presents for two hours. The person who invented this plan is a genius.

That person, of course, is me. :)

And you? Solve the "what to get Navy boy" problem?

LMAO. my_shoe_closet December 22 2003, 11:30:05 UTC
I'm on my way to that site as soon as I hit "post comment".

I solved the Navy boy delima, the full story is up on my LJ if you're interested. It's not that interesting though. :) It just demonstrates that I'm totally wacky.

I'm glad you two aren't feeling bad about letting her cry it out. You shouldn't. She's manipulating you (in her own baby-way) and if you allow yourself to manipulate you now, just wait until she's 14. Best to show her whose boss when she still wears a diaper.

I will NOT be bossed by my child.

Heh. *nods*

You believe me, right?

Could you help ME believe that? :)

The first night or two I felt bad. Then I realized that not only is she going to sleep on her own, and sleeping through the night (which is SO nice), but that once I put her in that bed and shut the door I'm FREE to do whatever I want... It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.

And I'm heading to read your journal asap. Must not have been up yet this morning when I read...or I didn't scroll far enough. *shrug*
