Something That's Bugging Me...
Everyone by now has heard that song "I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry, right? You know the one where the chick sings about making out with other chicks. Yeah, right on bros! But seriously though, the song is a little bizarre to me. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't care if chicks make out, I've seen chicks make out, it's not that big of a deal to me. Half the time it's not even hot, probably because I've seen it so much that it doesn't even faze me.
And it's not like this song is anything new. Back in 1995 there was an artist by the name of Jill Sobule who wrote a song called... you guessed it, "I Kissed a Girl". Mind you back then that was a little more controversial. But it's 13 years later, times have changed, we all got used to that shit, accepted it, and in some cases, we worshiped it. Right, you know what I'm sayin', dude-brah!
Here's what I predict to happen. The song will get massive amounts of play, girls will get curious, experiment, probably more than half will become confused and discouraged from doing it again, some will start indulging in this new found activity a little more often, and some will probably not give a crap either way about it. Now, after a short time, people will get annoyed with the song and stop requesting it at radio stations. And Katy Perry will fall of the face of the earth, just like Jill Sobule.
