You Kids Need to Just Fuck Yourselves In The Ass With Saw Blade
From the story I heard, I'm incredibly outraged by what had happened. I guess some time ago The (International) Noise Conspiracy played a show here in Detroit and Circa Survive opened. From what I understand there was quite a crowd there. Circa Survive played their set and as soon as they were done, the place cleared out leaving The (International) Noise Conspiracy to play to an almost empty venue.
Two Words:
Dennis Lyxzen
These kids don't know shit about anything. Dennis Lyxzen, was the singer/guitarist for the now defunked Refused, a band which pretty much pioneered the whole screamo-esque post-punk sound (which was also helped popularized by the also now defunked At the Drive-In (look them up kids, I'm sure you haven't heard them either)) is now being horribly ruined by such bands as Every Time I Die, Underoath, The Bled, The Blood Brothers, Chiodos, Circa Survive, and so on and so on. The sound that these kids on a daily basis, eat up for breakfast and shit out by the evening.
They Do Not Know Music
They know spending 15 bucks at the door so you can hang with your other scene friends and compare belt buckles.
It's not about the music, it's about the scene points.
Have fun with it though. Like I said, it'll die like nu-metal. And you'll be left with egg on your face (or black hair dye).
