End of an Era today... DMIS has been handed to Adelaide.
I am now a pleb... out of the loop.. and not handling it so well.
For 5 years i have run this team, taken the shit and dealt with the mud slinging. As of next week the Canberra crew will number 6. as of march it will number 3 (thats if we don't find work and leave earlier).
The adelaide team were always upset with us cause of all the amp we use. Where they got the idea that we only did projects is beyond me cause i never have put that idea across. They even removed out timesheet entries that were related to AMP cause we 'didn't have any maintenance costed for december' ... hello.. then where to I record my 6 out of 7.35 hour days that i do query resolution, answer stupid business questions, run adhoc reports, chase up work, system fixes... talked them into giving us those back then get emails week after week asking us to justify what we are doing!! ??? i have NEVER had to justify what we do in the past... but i'll play your game and started copying the bosses into EVERYTHING i did and EVERY email i sent. They soon sent a .. thanks but just send to us if needs escalating.. OKAY .. NO PROBLEM!
Today the email went out to say ... all corro to go thru them...
i'm not well..i have a chest infection, i'm emotional and hormones are everywhere and well... it made me cry.
Everyone keeps saying just enjoy it.. no more stress .. just take the time to do learning.. Im sorry.. i don't enjoy it. i Don't want to sit back and be a techo again on something i have lead for so long. Now i understand how the other teams felt.. at least we are involved, they just got told BYE BYE.
No-one seems to get why i'm upset.. i knew it was coming and its just now is crunch time. Its like i have been demoted... i haven't had a thanks or anything.. maybe this is what its like sending your kid to school for the first day.
... who's going to buy me my farewell present?
