I'm moving house... I'm moving into a smaller house...I'm downsizing so I can move into a smaller house....
Do I sell or do I store my books. Now I could put them in a shelf but the place is small enough as it is and I don't want to be overcrowded, I can comfortably keep on shelves about half. What do do with the rest?
I started looking at the numerous books I own and decided to sort into genre, put them in a database and put them in their boxes.... and probably not see them for a long time.
I have a lot of rubbish as well as some great items, so I started to resort into selling and keeping.
Some were obvious.. I'm never going to get any pleasure from rereading about Hamish MacBeth, but I might need those books on the serial Killers oneday... all 6 of them.... ??
How do I decide what to get rid of...
- what I won't read again?
- What I have always had intentions of reading and haven't got around to it?
I don't really know.. I love my books... I pick up a book I read ten years ago and even if I haven't read it again, I like the memory of having read it.
I think I'm rambling, but the point of this post is.. HELP
- Have you culled and lived to regret it?
- What criteria did you use...
- Do you just store and live happily in the knowledge they are there if you ever need them someday down the track?
Please help!!!
