I can't believe I'm already home for the summer. It's so odd-today I was talking to Mollie and she's only just about to take APs. So weird, and so many of my friends are only just about to take exams. Finals went fairly smoothly, except for Mass Comm. I'm sorry, but why on earth would he ask some of the most random and hard questions for a class no one takes seriously but just does it for their major? I had an A- going in to the exam, so I'm not too worried.
I moved out of Sutherland yesterday and came home with my dad. It was kind of sad, but at the same time I'm going to see those people a lot next year since so many of us are living in the new building. The drive is only supposed to take four hours, but we stretched it to six when we stopped at the Hagerstown outlets. I really like it when my dad gets pay raises and promotions because the word 'no' doesn't exist in his vocabulary.
So I came home and tried to unpack today and realized that my college life doesn't fit in my house. I just cleaned out my closet and discovered that I owned 49 pairs of shoes. I have since taken that number down to 19. Goodwill is getting a huge donation from me: five trash bags and counting full of clothes and shoes. Laundry load # 2 is going, and I still have at least one more load before I'm done. I've had so much energy today, otherwise I wouldn't have had the patience to undertake this project. I feel good though. Cleaning out your closet is a small way to clean the muck out of life. It's almost cathartic.
"All this indecision
All this indepent strength
Still we've got our hearts on safe
We've got our hearts on safe."
I love you all. High school people, best of luck on your APs. Anna-I'm so happy for you :)
